Welcome to Central Pointé Church of Christ

"Where Preaching, Power, Prayer & Praise is the Pointé"

Robert Holloway

Deacon Robert Holloway, Jr., hails from Midland, Texas, where he confessed his conviction in the Gospel of Christ when he was 15 years old at Northside Church of Christ under the leadership of the late Pastor Dan Johnson. He is the son of the late Robert Holloway, Sr., and Calvernita Scott Holloway, who raised him and three sisters as a single mother after the passing of his father.

After graduating high school in 1987, Robert moved to Arlington, Texas to attend UT Arlington where he met his wife, Tanyai Holloway. God has allowed the entire Holloway family to be involved in purposeful and Kingdom building service at CPCOC. Tanyai serves as a Kingdom KIDS instructor and AWANA leader. The Holloways are the proud parents of three children Hayden, Haniston and Harrington who are active and serve in Kingdom KIDS, AWANA, Communications, Media and Technology, Boys to Men, Generation NEXT, and the Bridge Life Group respectively.

Robert became a paramedic in 1991 while in college and he remains passionate about his profession because he enjoys serving others which led him to his current career as a Captain Fire-Rescue Officer and Licensed Paramedic with Dallas Fire-Rescue Department. He completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Relations and Business Management from Amberton University and is currently completing his master’s degree. He gives all recognition to God, his family, friends and coworkers for their help and support with achieving his accomplishments.

Robert believes God’s work is intentional and God placed in his heart after praying for direction and having faith to bring his family to Central Pointe Church of Christ. He was confirmed and affirmed into the Diaconate on December 29, 2019 under the pastoral leadership of Dr. Rodney D. Dulin and the church Shepherds.

Deacon Holloway is involved in various ministries:

• Pointe Guard (Assist with church security)

• Wellness (Assist with informing, educating and providing services to members about health issues)

• Worship Service Contributor (Prayer and Communion)

• Couples Ministry/Bible Study

• Man Up (Mesquite Campus Ministry Leader)

Robert’s hope and prayer is that we as a church continue to bring glory to God through changing lives by the powerful Word of Jesus Christ. He prays that God continues to deepen our understanding of His character and that we as a church continue to support our leaders and be motivated by His Spirit in all we do. He believes that God’s everlasting doctrine will continue to use CPCOC’s genuine and authentic approach as an example to our Christian communities by extending the love and hope of Christ to all we encounter.
