A Special Thank You - 17th Annual Women’s Conference

Thank you to everyone for whatever part that you played in making our 17th Annual Women’s Conference a huge success. Ladies, if you were not in attendance and did not pick up your conference bag, please go to the Bookstore at the Dallas campus and Kitchen area at the Mesquite campus.


Open House - Penny’s Child Care and Learning Center

We have scheduled two dates as our Open House for Penny’s Child Care Center. This will allow the opportunity for interested parents, both members and in the community, to walk through the center to see what we have to offer.

Sunday, August 20th, following worship service


Back-to-School Rally

Our Annual Back-to-School Rally serves our community as well as our own young people. We’re starting early so that we can collect as many school supplies as possible. This year we will serve both communities at our Dallas and Mesquite campuses. Please purchase all of the school supplies that you can, bring them to the building, at either campus, and place in the designated boxes near the exit doors.

Date of the Rallies:

Mesquite – Saturday, August 19th – 8:00-10:00 a.m.

Dallas – Sunday, August 27th – 3:00 p.m.


Woman-to-Woman Ministry

17th Annual Women’s Conference

We will not have our Women’s University classes for the month of August. Classes will resume in September.


Music Ministry Fish Fry

Come one, come all to the Music Ministry Fish Fry Fund Raiser, Sunday, August 20, 2017, @ the Dallas Campus following worship services. For $10.00 you will get the Fried fish, French fries, salad, water or soda, dessert and condiments. Meet us on the Gannon Parking Lot for fresh, piping hot fish dinner and help us raise funds for the music ministry. See you there!


Senior Saints Ministry

The Senior Ministry invites all Star Pointe Saints to join us for Matinee at the Pointe. The event will be held, Saturday, August 26th, in the Celebration Hall. Popcorn, candy, sodas, hotdogs, and links will be served. The concession stand will open at 11:30 a.m., and the movie will begin at noon. You don’t want to miss this FREE event! See Sisters Sallie Lewis, Brenda Jiles, or Pam Henderson for more information.


2017 Run/Walk for Breast Cancer

The Central Pointe’ Church, partnering with Celebrating Life for Breast Cancer research will host a fund raiser, Monday, September 4, 2017 @ the Dallas Campus. This event will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 11:00 a.m. The cost for registration is $20.00 for adults through 8/20 and will increase after that date. The cost for youth 17-11 is $15.00 and children 10 and under it’s free. Your paid registration includes and entry to win the Run/Walk Fitness Kit. You can sign up at the Welcome Center at both locations or on line www.centralpointechurch.org, Run/Walk for Breast Cancer.

We need your support for a successful Run/Walk. If you do not wish to participate in the walk itself, please make a charitable donation to this event.


Generation Next Ministry

- Florida State Youth Conference

Youth, plans are being made to attend the Florida State Youth Conference in June, 2018. Space is limited to youth 6th grade and above to attend. A $30.00 deposit is due by Sunday, Sept. 3. Stop by the Welcome Center for additional information or see Phil Tolliver in Mesquite or Charlotte Lee in Dallas.

- Scholarship Fund Pens

Please support our Scholarship Fund by purchasing a package of Central Pointe CoC ink pens for $1.00. Share the pens with your friends, co-workers, etc to advertise the church while supporting our college students. Pens are available at the Welcome Center in Mesquite or the bookstore in Dallas.

- CPCC Scholarship Fund

Please consider pledging to our Scholarship Fund. Funds raised will benefit the graduating class of 2018 and beyond. Through generous gifts from individuals like yourself, CPCC will be able to award monetary scholarships to our graduating seniors meeting the specified criteria.

Men @ the Pointé Ministry

2017 Men’s Conference

The Men at The Pointe Men’s Ministry would like to invite all men to come out to the 2017 Central Pointe Men’s Conference entitled “Fishers of Men”. The Conference will take place, October 7-8, 2017, at our Dallas Campus. This is a call for all men to become proactive in God’s Kingdom and to be the men, husbands, fathers, and leaders that God has called us to be.

Communications (CMT) Ministry

To our Central Pointe College Students and Parents… The Communications, Media and Technology Ministry (CMT) would like to provide our Central Pointe College Students who are attending school away from home with a weekly “Moment of Encouragement”. If you would like for your college student to receive an encouraging word from Pastor Dulin, or other Central Pointe Leaders, please email us the student’s name, email address and name of school to cpsound7440@yahoo.com. Thank you for your love and support for our college students, Sister Angela R. Brown and Deacon Horace Forte.


Health Services Ministry

CP Health Ministry will be providing monthly health screenings, every 4th Sunday, at both locations. For the month of August, we will be conducting blood pressure checks. Please take advantage of this free service. Additional information is forthcoming.


Wednesday Night Filing Station - Summer Break

We will take a “summer break” from our Wednesday evening Filling Station at both locations during the months of June, July and August.


Youth Praise Team

All youth interested in singing on our youth praise team are asked to contact Bro. Phillip Tolliver. Please contact him tgtolliver@gmail.com or call the church office 972.296.5502 and leave a message.


Community Service Hours

Central Pointe is a designated Community Service Site. Whether you are in need of Community Service hours for school or you need to obtain court mandated hours, you will be able to receive credit at the Central Pointe building. Simply contact the office, 972-296-5502, to schedule your time.
