POINTÉ NEWS

CHURCH-WIDE NEWS:

Calling ALL Teachers!

All Teachers, both Wednesday night and Sunday morning classes, and those who desire to teach, are asked to be present at a meeting on Saturday July 20th, at 9 a.m., for a very important meeting to discuss some upcoming changes that will be taking place for our classes. The meeting will be held in the Celebration Hall at the Dallas campus.

Senior Minister’s Anniversary Celebration

We are excited to celebrate another year with our Senior Pastor and Family. The celebration will be Sunday, July 21, 2019. This year, rather than contributing throughout the month of July, we will have a single offering on the actual Anniversary Day. So, come prepared on the 21st to contribute on their special day.

Summer Bible Study

Summer Months (June, July & August): Bible Study Lessons on the Book of Ecclesiastes.

Each week we will send out, via the Gazette, the Bible Lesson for that week. The subsequent week, you will receive the answers to that lesson. There will be a total of 13 lessons.

MINISTRY/LIFE GROUP NEWS:

Introducing the AWANA Club Program

We are excited to announce that the AWANA club program will be coming to Central Pointe this fall! AWANA is a non-denominational Bible club for children and youth from ages pre-school to high school. AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed”, taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Their mission is to “reach kids, equip leaders, and change the world for God.” AWANA helps foster not only a relationship between youth and God but with their peers, parents, and youth counselors.

Clubs will meet Wednesday nights at the Dallas campus starting September 4th and will run concurrently with the adult Bible classes. Early registration is $35 and will increase to $40 after July 26; however, anyone can enroll at any time during the year. Registration includes all books and materials for the entire year.

Please don’t be deferred by the cost! Fundraising opportunities for purchasing your child’s materials are available. The full balance must be paid before we can place an order for your child’s materials. More information about AWANA is available in the Agape bookstore at the Dallas campus and the Welcome Center at the Mesquite campus.
