2020 Church-wide 8-Week Fast – January & February

We will engage in our Corporate Church-wide Fast during the months of January & February. Each week will be devoted to specific prayers:

AWANA Club Program on Wednesdays @ 6:45 p.m.

Awana clubs meets at the Dallas campus at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday nights. Parents - register your child at the Welcome Center in Mesquite or at the Agape Bookstore in Dallas. The cost is $40.00 which covers their books, Awana shirt or vest, and materials for the school year. For questions, see Charlotte Lee or Jasmyne Simmons at the Dallas campus or Charlene Minor at the Mesquite campus. You don’t want your child to miss this experience!

Up-Lift Life Group & Health Ministry

Hi Central Pointe! If you’re serious about getting fit, let’s run into 2020 with a mindset to commit! Jumpstart your fitness goals by joining the in their 1st 90-Day Fitness Challenge starting January 13th. The cost is only $5 per person! There will be vital checks, meal prep ideas, portion control sizers, social media accountability, suggested food list, group workouts on Monday nights at 7:00 p.m., and even a grand cash prize for the top male and female winners! S.M.A.S.H. (Students Ministering and Serving Him)

S.M.A.S.H., (for ages 5-18) will meet Friday, January 24th, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Dallas campus.


Bridge Life Group

Attention all young adults between the ages of 18-35! It’s time for the annual Bridge Life Group Launch Party & Mixer! On Saturday, January 25th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., we are kicking the year off at the Punch Bowl Social located in the Deep Ellum Entertainment District. We need all of you to show up & show out as we enjoy an evening full of games, live entertainment, food, bowling, & much more! Also, take advantage of this opportunity to invite people in your circle of influence to experience the freedom you have in Christ as we enjoy an evening of fun & fellowship in a relaxed environment. Please note, in keeping with Bridge Life Group tradition, this is a BYOM (Bring Your Own Money) function, however the estimated cost for the evening is $15. Singles’ Life Group

Attention ALL Singles… the Singles’ Life Group would like to invite you to a Singles mixer, January 26th, in the Celebration Hall at the Dallas Campus. The mixer will be immediately following service and lunch will be served. We will have soft jazz, lunch and discuss the topics for the upcoming year. We welcome any feedback or suggestions you may have to make this Life Group a success. Come out and be part of something big… see you there!


Bridge Life Group

Hello Central Pointe! My name is Majesti Smith & I have a few of quick questions to ask. Do you have a passion for literature? Do you enjoy reading? Do you listen to audiobooks? If you answered yes to any of those questions, I have some awesome news to share! On Tuesday, February 4th @ 7:00 p.m., the Bridge Life Group will be hosting the first session of the Bridge Book Club on the Zoom App. The Bridge Book Club was intentionally created for individuals who have an interest in reading and have a desire to be challenged to grow spiritually through literature. The first book we will dive into is written by Craig Groeschel (pronounced: Gresh-el) & is entitled “Weird: Because Normal Isn’t Working.” The book is available on Amazon for $10. Dallas African American History Museum

Hello Central Pointe! My name is Brian Jackson & I have an important announcement on behalf of the Bridge Life Group. On Saturday, February 8th @ 10:00am, the Bridge Life Group will visit & explore the Dallas African American Museum. We want all young adults, ages 18-35ish, to join us for this awesome experience! Admission to the museum is only $10! Also, immediately following the museum tour, we will enjoy Brunch at a nearby restaurant. If you are interested or want more information regarding this event, please see Tiffany Ingram at the Mesquite Campus or Natalie Savanah at the Dallas Campus.


Boys2Men Life Group

The Boys2Men Life Group will meet Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. @ The Mesquite Campus. In addition to the monthly training & devotion, there will be a COOK-OUT & FLAG FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT which will take place @ The KidsQuest — DeBusk Park; 1625 Gross Rd., Mesquite, TX 75149. Permission slips will be available at the Welcome Center @ both locations. Parents please assist by planning to have your son attend as many of the monthly meetings as possible. Their attendance plays a part in the outcome of the Boys2Men Life Group as a whole.

Marriage Matters Life Group Pointe of Love Concert & Comedy Show

Couples……sign up now for the Pointe of Love Concert & Comedy Show, to be held at the Dallas campus, Friday, February 14th. The regular admission to the concert & comedy show is $40.00/couple. The V.I.P. tickets are $125.00/couple and will include dinner prepared by a private gourmet chef, preferred seating at the concert and photos with artists. Seating is limited so you will want to sign up early.

Dinner: 6:30 p.m.

Concert 8:00 p.m.

Youth Weekend Xtravaganza

Youth, it’s time to get ready for our Annual Youth Weekend Xtravaganza on March 13-15, 2020. The cost for the weekend including Six Flags Amusement Park is $62.00 and for activities at only the building, the cost is 12.00. On-time registration ends on Sunday, February 9th. Also, if you’re interested in the Bible Bowl, questions are available in the bookstore in Dallas or welcome center in Mesquite. Generation Next Life Group

Girls in 2nd to 12th grade interested in praise dance, specifically for our annual youth weekend, are asked to sign up at the welcome center at both locations. For questions, please contact Jasmyne Simmons, Jennifer Mims and Charlotte Lee.


Breaking Free Life Group

The Breaking Free Life Group announces the next Breaking Free Bible Study. We will be studying “ Mercy TRIUMPS” by Beth Moore. Classes are @ 2:00 p.m., in the home of Bro. Ruben and Sis. Dee Johnson. Books are sold at Lifeway Christian bookstore online or contact Sis. Niphateria Johnson for $15 while they last. Be prepared to be inspired, challenged & edified. For more information contact Sis. Community Service Hours

Central Pointe is a designated Community Service Site. Whether you are in need of Community Service hours for school or you need to obtain court mandated hours, you will be able to receive credit at the Central Pointe building. It is now available only on weekends because of our Child Care. Simply contact the office, 972-296-5502, to schedule your time.
