5th Sunday Casual Day

5th Sunday casual day this month, September 30th, we will have “Fatigues Day”. You’re welcomed to come dressed in Army fatigue clothing as our pastor finishes up Ephesians 6, where Paul talks about winning our battle against Satan!


Annual North Texas Giving Day

The Multicultural Development Center (MCDC) request the consideration of Central Pointe members for a charitable donation to our 501c3 non-profit organization, Thursday, September 20th, during the Annual North Texas Giving Day. 18th Annual Anniversary Celebration – Month of October

Another year of Celebration. We’re excited to be able to celebrate our 18th year as a congregation. The celebration will begin with our Dr. Reginald B. Dulin Anniversary Musical, Saturday, October 6th, at 5:00 p.m. followed by great speakers each Sunday.

College Students

To our Central Pointe College Students and Parents… The Communications, Media and Technology Ministry (CMT) would like to provide our Central Pointe College Students who are attending school away from home with a weekly “Moment of Encouragement”. If you would like for your college student to receive an encouraging word from Pastor Dulin, or other Central Pointe Leaders, please email us the student’s name, email address and name of school to cpsound7440@gmail.com. Life After Loss Life Group

If you or someone you know is in need of support after the unfortunate loss of a loved one, the Life After Loss Life Group is just for you. Learn what to expect, how to live with the memories and pain, and how to work toward recovery. Beginning Wednesday, October 3rd, this group will meet at 6:00 PM at the Dallas Campus. And Serving Him) has been cancelled for the month

of September.

Next is selling BBQ dinners after church on Sunday, September 30th, during the Dallas Cowboys football game. The menu includes ribs, smoked chicken, smoked sausage, sides and desserts. The cost is as follows:

1 meat, 2 sides, bread & drink - $8.00

2 meats, 2 sides, bread & drink - $10.00

3 meats, 2 vegs, bread & drink - $12.00

Desserts - $3.00 - $5.00

You can stay and watch the game, or, get your food to go. We are also taking prepaid orders – order early and your meal will be ready to go following service. You can pay in the bookstore in Dallas or at

the Welcome Center in Mesquite.

- High school students - plans are being finalized to attend “Bobcat Day” at Texas State University in San Marcos to learn about the school. We’ll leave Friday, Oct. 12th, after school returning Saturday evening, Oct. 13. The cost is $35.00 per person. $15.00 deposit due by Sunday, Sept. 2rd, with the balance due

- Oct. 12 – 14 – College Campus Tour Weekend

Updated College Campus Tour – We previously announced plans to attend Bobcat Day at Texas State University in San Marcos on Oct. 12 – 13. We are adding a trip to Houston on Saturday afternoon to visit the campuses of University of Houston and Texas Southern. Saturday evening, we will attend the TSU vs. Grambling football game, returning on Sunday morning. The weekend cost is $65.00 which covers hotel and your game ticket. A $25.00 deposit is due no later than Sunday, Sept. 24 and the balance is due Sunday, Oct. 7.


Breaking Free Life Group

“The time has come for our next BREAKING FREE class. We are ecstatic to present our next study…“ Discerning the VOICE OF GOD” by Priscilla Shirer. You owe it to yourself to come & fellowship with this PHENOMENAL group of ladies! Classes are @ 2:00 pm. Books can be purchased at Lifeway Christian Book stores for $12.99. Music Ministry – Fund Raiser

The Music Ministry will host a “Chicken Fingers Dinner to go “Fundraiser on, Sunday, September 23rd, following worship @ both campuses. Dinner is complete with chicken tenders, fries, salad, bread, with complementary condiments and a soda or bottled water for $6.00. Get yours while they last.


The Bridge @ CP Life Group

Ok for this next announcement, we need all Young Adults ages 18-35 to open your Google Calendar, Notepad, or Reminders on your phone or tablet & take the following date & information down… On Saturday, September 29, the Bridge Ministry invites all young adults to join us for our first ‘Bridge Brunch’! The Brunch will be held at the Dallas Campus & will begin at 11:00 a.m. & end at 1:00 p.m. Awesome food & activities will be provided to help us get to know each other better. During the Brunch, we will have some great presentations that will not only encourage & challenge us spiritually, but to be impactful in our careers, schools, and family relationships as well.

We ask that you RSVP on one of the forms at the Welcome Center at both campuses or RSVP via the link that will be sent to your email in the next few days. The deadline to RSVP will be Sunday, September 23rd. Also, don’t forget to invite your friends, frienemies & play cousins as a great time will be had on September, 29th! Marriage Matters

- The Marriage Ministry is proud to announce that Shepherd David and Sis. Sandra Chandler will be starting a new series during the Bible class hour at the Dallas campus - BecomING one. The series will begin September 23rd, and continue through October 14th. Make plans to attend this exciting series.

- Married Couples: Save the Date!

On September 23rd at 5:00 p.m. at the Dallas campus, the original hosts of Marriage Matters will be back. Make plans now to be there to hear Dr. Rodney Dulin & 1st Lady Shalonda!


Singles @ the Pointe Life Group

Singles ministry… it’s not what you think

Join us as we navigate through life as single Christians while having fun in the name of Jesus. Come share your thoughts about life, love and today’s issues, at the Singles Round Table, held every 3rd Friday at 7:00 p.m., at the Dallas campus. Input is needed from both the male and female perspectives to make this ministry successful and beneficial to all. This month’s topic is: R.E.S.P.E.C.T.


Men’s Ministry – Annual Men’s Conference

All men are invited to our Annual Men’s Conference, October 12-13, 2018. This year’s Theme will be “Greater Is Waiting”. A registration fee of $25.00 for men over the age of 18 and a fee of $15.00 for young men who are 18 and below.

The conference will kick off promptly, Friday evening @ 6:00 p.m, Oct 12th, with a Meet & Greet Session.

Saturday morning @ 7:30 a.m. Oct 13th, breakfast will be served. Immediately following breakfast, we will be conducting workshops and seminar’s but with a twist, this year we will have our youth and young men lecturing giving their own perspective on everyday life and struggles growing up in society today. Also, we will have a dynamic keynote speaker Pastor David Wilson, Minister of the Kings Church of Christ in Brooklyn, New York. So make sure you mark your calendars and come out and join the Men at the Pointe, Oct 12th through the 13th.


Lyrical Pointes

Anyone, between the ages of 13-18, interested in becoming a member of Lyrical Pointes, please contact Director, Jennifer Mims or Assistant Director, Phil Tolliver.


Young Men Training to Serve During Communion

To all young men, if you would like to serve on the communion and offering table, please sign up at Welcome Center so that you can go through the training.


Community Service Hours

Central Pointe is a designated Community Service Site. Whether you are in need of Community Service hours for school or you need to obtain court mandated hours, you will be able to receive credit at the Central Pointe building. It is now available only on weekends because of our Child Care. Simply contact the office, 972-296-5502, to schedule your time.
