New Worship Time

Beginning Sunday, June 5th, we will go back to one Sunday morning service. Note the following changes:

Bible Study: 8:30 a.m. (Ladies’ Bible Class via Zoom)

Morning Worship: 9:30 a.m. (please continue to bring and wear your masks)

Penny’s Childcare & Learning Center

Penny’s ChildCare & Learning Center has openings available. We offer an appropriate and balanced quality program for infants and children from 6 weeks to 8 years old. We accept CCA assistance. Our Learning Center is licensed with the State of Texas’ Department of Family and Protective services.

Hours of Operation:

Monday-Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Ugandan Water Project

The Central Pointé Mission Project for the second quarter of 2022 is a partnership with the Ugandan Water Project. This mission is a fundraiser that will go towards the building of a Rainwater Collection System that will provide fresh, clean water to Ugandan communities for the next 30 years. To donate to this mission, please follow the QR code on the screen or visit ugandanwaterproject.com/central-pointe. You may also give via envelope by writing “missions” on the envelope or by giving on the Central Pointé website by selecting “missions” in the drop-down menu.

Last, feel free to get your coworkers, friends, family & social networks involved in this great effort by sharing the giving options as well.

Mental Health Awareness

We will have a Mental Health Awareness Workshop, Saturday, June 4th, from 9:00 a.m. - Noon. The theme of this event is “Being one with body & spirit” We will have a dynamic keynote speaker, panel discussion, and vendors.

Boys2Men & Men’s Life Group

Save The Date!!! For our Boys2Men & Men’s Life Group Bowling Event. We will meet at the church on June 18th at 9 a.m., for Devotion and Brunch, then we will depart at 10:30 a.m. for Red Bird Lanes. The address is 1114 S. Main St., Duncanville, TX 75137. The fee is $12.00 per person, which will include 2 games and shoes. In order to keep the fee at $12:00, we need at least 20 participants. Please sign up at the Welcome Center. For more information, please see Deacon Mackie and/or Deacon Risper.

Annual Citywide Revival

The Annual Citywide Revival will be held July 17-20, 2022. Services will be held at the Mt. View Church of Christ, Sunday @ 5:00 p.m. and Monday-Wednesday @ 7:00 p.m. Minister Alvin Daniels will be the speaker. See Linda Anderson if you would like to purchase an ad or contribute to the patron’s list.

Appointed Rehearsals

Calling All Ladies!!! **SAVE THE DATE** Appointed Music Ministry rehearsals are every 4th Sunday, immediately following the 10:30 a.m. service. If you are interested, please see Sis. Karen Ross for more information.

Lyrical Pointes Rehearsals

If you are between the ages of 12-18, Lyrical Pointes needs your voice. The next rehearsal for the Lyrical Pointes will be, May 22nd, immediately after 10:30 a.m. worship. Please see Jennifer Mims for more information.

Pinnacle Pointes

Our Pinnacle Pointes Children’s Singing Group, is recruiting new members. Age requirement is 5 years to 11 years old. All interested, please sign up at the Welcome Center. For more information, please see Denise Simmons.

Annual Youth Weekend Xtravaganza 2022

Youth, it’s time to start preparing for our annual Youth Weekend Xtravaganza. Due to Covid, we’ve moved the date to June 10 – 12, 2022.

The costs are as follows:

$12.00 T-shirt, meals and activities at the church

$60.00 Activities at church and Six Flags including meal

$33.00 activities at church with Six Flags Season Pass

On time registration ends Sunday, May1st. After May 1st, the cost will increase by $5.00.

Graduate Program

Generation Next needs your monetary help with the 2022 Graduate Program/Scholarship Fund. Due to the pandemic, we were unable to do any fund raising this year to support our youth. We are looking for donations to reach our goal of $7,800.00 to cover a scholarship and gifts for our High School Graduates. All donations will be acknowledged in our program book at the following levels:

God’s Purposeful Women

Health Services

The RedBird Health Center is Parkland’s newest primary care clinic, bringing much-needed healthcare services to RedBird and the surrounding areas, including Duncanville, DeSoto, Cedar Hill, Lancaster and Glenn Heights.

The RedBird Health Center includes adult, pediatric, geriatric and behavioral health, lab and radiology services, among other healthcare and support services. Through our comprehensive range of services, we create a medical home – a place where you can work with your healthcare team to achieve the best health possible. Our goal is a long-term relationship with you and your family.

Our pantry is open and well stocked for anyone who is in need. If you or anyone that you know is in need of food items, please contact the office or let them know at the Welcome Center. We are available to serve.

Central Pointe Gun Policy/Handgun Laws

While the Constitutional Carry law now allows anyone 21 years and older to carry a handgun in public without a permit, it is not allowed if it is posted not to bring a firearm into a specified building. Please be aware that we are not to bring firearms into the Central Pointe worship facility. There are designated people who are allowed to bring/carry a firearm into the building.
