Life Groups at Central Pointé is an evangelistic initiative of our church aimed toward accomplishing a threefold purpose. The reading of our purpose will tell you exactly why you should seriously consider joining a Life Group.
1. Discipleship: We affirm that fulfilling “The Great Commission” as outlined in Matthew 28:19-20 is why we were left on the earth. The only way to belong to God the Father is through belief in His only Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, His sacrificial life, atoning death, and bodily resurrection. After that comes our commitment to faithfully follow His teachings as prescribed throughout the scriptures. At our church, this is the ultimate win.
2. Community: As the body of Christ we are a community. We are a group of unique individuals sharing our common belief in Jesus and His principles. As a community, we laugh together, cry together, and we bond by having fun and making memories together. To that end, our goal is to make our large congregation less intimidating by forming smaller, more intimate communities within. This will ensure that no one member ever feels neglected or out of touch from the rest of our family and always have others on whom they can trust and depend in their immediate reach.
3. Accountability: Along with community comes our responsibility to care for one another. Philippians 2:3-4 (ESV) says, “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” This is the biblical motivation for us to be our brother’s and our sister’s keepers as we journey through Christian life together.
As we grow, our offerings will expand.
